The center task has varied from one year to the next--in one game the first team there gets all the points, in another it's a bonus for the first team and then both sides get points, and now it's both sides get total points no matter what. For an individual match, the center points won't affect who wins as 40 points are added or not added to both sides. In the long run, however, those points will make a huge difference since chances are they will not be scored in every match. This is a huge incentive to cooperate with your opponents!

What do they mean by "If one or BOTH robots" help in the video? Are they
talking about 2 teams sharing the same task? How and who decides WHICH one
of the teams gets to the arrows first? If you are the first team, and you
align them, how does that affect the second team? Do they even have to
bother, or they get the credit regardless? Conversely, if the first team
does something irreparable, like breaking the arrows, what happens to the
second team? All this may not matter in the grand scheme of things, but it
is a curious task.

Thank you.

Madhuker,

According to the mission document
(http://firstlegoleague.org/community/fll/game.aspx), it looks like it can
be any possible disagreement. (at the bottom there is a picture of all
possible disagreements)

Subject: [VADCFLL-L] Find Agreement (Align The Arrows) task...

Hello All,
For the "Find Agreement (Align The Arrows)" task the refree sets the
yellow arrows in random disagreement before the match starts.  Does
anybody know if the refree uses a limited set of random disagreements or
any of the possible random disagreements?

Regards,
Madhuker Penta
