As coach and on behalf of Climate 2 dot 0 rookie team from Rocky Run Middle School, I'd like to thank all volunteers and officials for organizing the tournament. My co-coach and I are both rookie coaches leading a 7 boy team, were suitably impressed with the smooth flow of events and the dedicated set of volunteers who knew where to guide us, when we looked sufficiently lost (which was more times than one!)
It has been a tiring, daunting, and an exciting journey to reach tournament and though our robot failed us in a few ways when it was doing perfectly well in our basement, the team stuck it together through the other rounds. We came home with 1st place in Research project presentation and the tired disappointed team up until then, had their spirits lifted and we left the place with smiles.
It has been an awesome learning experience for all involved and I know now our team knows what exactly is expected of them next year around.
Congrats to all who go on to States (including my daughter's team from Rocky Run middle school) and wishing you all more fun.
