VA-DC FLL Teams,
This is a great opportunity to participate in a workshop presented
by the Inventioneers, the reigning FLL World Champions on Saturday, September
25, 2010 from 3:00 - 5:30 p.m. The event is being hosted by the YMCA National
Capital located on 1711 Rhode Island Avenue, NW, Washington, DC. Don't miss
learning insider tips on how to have a great rookie season and how to build a
strong team. Last year over 15,000 teams which translates to over 150,000
students, from 50 countries participated in FLL!
The ABC's of FLL is open to all kids and their parents
who are participating in FLL for the first time. All areas of the program will
be covered from getting a jumpstart on your rookie season, to all the
ins-and-outs of the FLL program. Ideas for preparing for competitions, an
overview of what to expect in tournament judging sessions, robot
demonstrations, hands-on activities and a special session for coaches round out
the workshop.
Because of space limitations, we ask that participants
pre-register by September 22nd (or until the workshop is full if that happens
before September 22nd).
