Calling all VA-DC FLL teams,
US FIRST and VA-DC FLL will both be hosting booths at the
big Science and Engineering Expo in DC on October 23rd and 24th.
We would love to have you participate!
What do we need? How can you participate?
We need teams to come out and help us share the FIRST program
with thousands of visitors. We’ll have some stock robots to program
and some laptops you can use. We’ll have fields setup for this
year’s Body Forward – you can bring your robot or use ours.
We’ll also have the challenging Nanotechnology field and last
year’s Smart Move setup. Come down and demonstrate how to program
robots to kids and parents. Share your knowledge and successes with the
greater (and potential) FLL Community.
If you still have your research project from the Smart Move
season and would like to share it – we’d love to display it.
Also, if you already have something to share from your research with the Body
Forward season – please let me know. This will be an wonderful
opportunity for you to share your research with others – thousands of
them! Live and in person. Probably no better opportunity to show
your work to a LOT of interested people!
We’d like to have a couple of different teams at each of
our locations during the morning and afternoon of Saturday and Sunday.
If you can commit to either day, morning or afternoon please
let me know!
Even if you can’t volunteer, this will be a wonderful
event to experience so I hope to see you there! Look for the VA-DC FLL
booth in Freedom Plaza and the US FIRST booth on 4th street
of the National Mall.
