http://www.penfactory.com/pencils/the-round-pencil.html seems to be pretty reasonable: 200 would cost $56; 300 are only $61.

(Don’t credit me – a friend had done this, and he remembered the name of the website!)

Last year the tournament we entered had 24 teams in attendance. (18 in division 1 and 6 in division 2) If you want to be sure to have enough items for all children in attendance then you could assume that there are 10 children on each team therefore you would want to bring 240 items. (Your team members will want the giveaways too.) Siblings come to the tournament as well so if you want to have enough for them as well then you can bring 300.

Last year we did not bring nearly that many items and it was fine. It is not necessary to bring enough for all but it is nice if you can. Remember you don’t need to bring anything but the children enjoy swapping them so it is nice to bring some. Bring what quantity you can and whatever quantity you bring is fine.

BTW: I was looking into having pencils printed with the team name and season on them however it was between $100 & $200 no matter which vendor we looked at. We do not have the budget for that so we may print up some bookmarks with our team info and some artwork, laminate them, and add a tassel to each one. This will be much cheaper and the team can get involved with making them. (If anyone finds a low price on pencils with custom printing please share the information with the group.)

I hope this helps.

How many items are you supposed to bring? 100? 200?

Thanks!

Hi
Newbie team manager. Is it true that  the giveaways should not include
edible stuff. we were planning to include some candies in our give aways.
Thanks
