If you have enough parts, motors, etc. you can just buy a brick. Amazon has
them.

If you need more parts you can order a kit with a brick, or from lego
education you can get motors and sensors À la carte.

You can buy kits of parts from lego education.

If you want more control over parts you get you can go to
http://www.bricklink.com/ but it takes work figuring out what a part is
called.  I have use http://www.bricklink.com/ alot last two years.
