Good Morning Everyone!! FLL Teams/participants needed for the 2nd USA Science & Engineering Festival! http://www.usasciencefestival.org/ We'll have a table and we're looking for teams to spend the day (Saturday and Sunday) doing robot demonstrations and talking with folks about VA-DC FLL!! We're looking for mostly NoVA/DC participants since there isn't a budget for hotel rooms, but if you're ok with taking care of your own accommodations, we'll certainly welcome teams from anywhere!! Please Contact Kacey Neckowitz: [log in to unmask] to volunteer! Personally, I would consider 3rd graders borderline -- some do great, some just want to play with LEGOs. As long as you and the older kids don't have unreasonable expectations, are patient with them, and find a way to include them, they will learn alot and will positively surprise you. But, I wouldn't push a kid to move up against their will; doing a (or another) year of JrFLL can be very rewarding. Some of the kids I've so far are born as follows. I am not getting a clear picture if the little ones who just turned 9 this year in 2012 will be able to participate in Div 1. participant 1 : Jan 5th 2000 participant 2: Feb 10th 2000 participant 3: Jun 10th 2001 participant 4: Aug 13th 2001 participant 5: Jan 20th 2003 participant 6: March 7th 2003 I realise that participant 1,2,3,4 are eligible to be in Div1. My question is for participant 5 and 6. Can they be in Div 1 too? Can anyone please help?
