You do. I always did. Every other year I bought another one so that the teams could build multiple prototypes. When you are done caching pass it on or sell it. But it is yours.
Don't leave it up to others. You gave up way more of your time than the parents.

hi All
I am a rookie coach w/ 8 rookie members ages 10/11 in 4/5 grade. 6
memebers are moving to a new school. 2 are moving to 5th. Each member paid
$150 for the Lego activity. We had no external funding. I know parents and
students alike are asking - so who gets to keep the robot?
Personally I would like to keep it for future teams I may coach, but I am
not sure how this is decided for other teams.
Thoughts appreciated.
thanks
