We tried that this year, we met every other week for a couple of months after a 2 month break. Worked out pretty well until summer when the kids were out of school and at that point we just couldn't get anybody together.   the idea was to try and get ideas with the project might be get a lot a research done the project finished and the kids and have programs ready to go.

It just didn't work out that way. Best of luck to you in your season
