An official invitation to the 2012 VA/DC FLL Championship is being emailed now to the coaches of the qualifying teams. Parents of championship participants, you should be receiving pertinent information from your coaches.

 

The VA/DC FLL Championship is Dec. 8-9 in Harrisonburg, Va. Check-in is 8-8:45 am, Saturday Dec. 8 at JMU’s Memorial Hall (395 South High Street, 22807) and 7:30-8:30 am Sunday, Dec. 9 at Harrisonburg High School (1001 Garber’s Church Road, 22801) so plan your arrival accordingly.

 

Schedule

Judging and student activities will take place Saturday, Dec. 8 at JMU and robot performance will take place at Sunday, Dec. 9 at Harrisonburg High School. A complete schedule will be posted at http://vadcfll.org/championship later this week.

 

Hotels

There are a block of rooms at several hotels in Harrisonburg with an FLL discount. Visit https://www.firstchampionshiphousing.com/Regionals.aspx and select regional for the event type to find this event.

 

Student activities

Links to online sign-up sheets for super fun student activities at JMU will be posted at http://vadcfll.org/championship by tomorrow. Each participant must fill out their own individual survey by Friday, Nov. 23. Student activities will be held for Division 2 teams Saturday morning, Dec. 7 (opposite their afternoon judging), and Saturday afternoon, Dec. 7 for Division 1 teams (opposite their morning judging).

The student activities are only for the participants. A list is posted here with links to more information about events, attractions, dining, and shopping in Harrisonburg.
