We are a new team and trying to purchase the Mindstorm starter kit.

In general, it looks better to invest on the EV3 over NXT 2.0; however, FLL site says below.

*The new LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 isNOT AUTHORIZED for the 2014-2015 FTC competition season.

NXT 2.0 availability seems rather low. I'd appreciate it if you could advise the best way to get the starter kit.
