This is the registration process we use in FTC & FRC, so it really is good practice.  In the long run, it is a great way to keep up with the administrative requirements when attending tournaments...fewer pieces of paper to keep up with.

It would take that long to fill out a hand written registration, which is what members needed to do in the past. I do agree that the site is a bit clunky and difficult to navigate but probably in an effort to go paperless, they are requiring online team registrations. JMO.

If you go into your coach account, there is a place where you can invite team members.  You enter in the child and parent's name, and the parent's email, and they will receive an email invitation saying something like, "Congratulations, you have been invited to Team X" with a link where they will need to go and create an account and enter basic info like birthdate, etc, about the child.  Then, after they have created an account, you will need to go back in and accept them.  After that, there is a button where you can print the roster.  Hope that helps!
