Bring things for the kids to do- cards, chess, things for them to be interactive together, just a few. I often think of tournaments as being a goalie in soccer; It's terribly boring until it isn't, and then it's very intense for a short amount of time :)

The tournaments usually start at 9 AM and end around 3 PM. There are 3 rounds of Robot game, Robot design and core values competition. In between the competitions, the teams get chance to practice the robot game.

Does anyone know what the normal 'start time' for the tournaments is, or is it tournament dependent?
