Hi Pranita,

I live in Ashburn and should be able to help you. Please sync up with me to find mutually acceptable time.

Thanks,
Purna

Hi Pranita,
I am sorry, I see now that you said you are located in Ashburn.  Have you been in touch with Ashburn robotics?  They might know of some resources to put you in touch with.

Good luck!
Sonya

Hi Pranita,
Where are you located?  We would love to come and help you.  My team members have experience teaching other kids about programming, and we would be happy to spend an afternoon with you some time over the summer.  If it doesn't work out for us to meet in person, or if it is too far for us to come, we could set something up over Skype.  We live in Harrisonburg.  Let us know!  We would love to help.

Also, there are some great programming opportunities over the summer that your team members might be able to participate in.  In Harrisonburg, we have several camps through the Learning Can Be Fun summer program at our local community college, Blue Ridge Community College.  Last summer, JMU offered an advanced robotics programming camp.  I haven't heard yet if they will be offering that again, but I am sure information will be posted here.  Shari Robinson's team in Richmond, the Lord of the Bricks, recently posted here about some summer workshops in Richmond.

Let us know where you are located, and maybe others can chime in with summer camps in your area.

Good luck!

It has been a wonderful experience working with kids for past two years and reading helpful information on this list. Unfortunately it is disappointing to see that it has been extremely difficult to find mentors to help with programming as well as building in our area. I tried sending out emails to veteran team members but never received responses from people I contacted so far. This is an effort to reach out to a larger group to see if anyone would be willing to come and spend some time with my team over the summer break or anytime before next season kicks off.

Thanks, Pranita
