Ask your local librarian! School or public librarian---even small public libraries have a staffer dedicated to children and youth services. They have a lot of experience with just that very topic.

And my immediate free advice: they can ‘just Google it.’ But then make them look in a database with actual articles from magazines and talk about sources and authority and bias.
