As far as attachments and base/saftey, Rule R12 is pretty unambiguous.  Everything has to be in base.  No idea what the penalty for that would be, probably a black brick in an inconvenient place, but I would encourage your team to see if they can redesign their attachments to stay inside the base volume.

Hi,

Please reply to questions below-

1. Is it okay to setup the jig/launch pad or remove it within the safety/base area while the robot is in motion completing a mission? If not allowed, what is the penalty?

2. When launching a robot with attachments, our attachments extends outside the base but within safety, is this allowed? If not allowed, what is the penalty?

3. Our competition is on Nov 15 in Fairfax, can we get a schedule in advance to advise the parents? Will there be a set time for our judging?

Thanks,
Cedric
