Teams are welcome to select their preferences from any of the tournaments listed.  The locations may be listed as a middle or high school (or even a college) but that is only the hosting location and does not have any impact on the age divisions of the participating teams.

It is important to note that while all tournaments are currently open to both age divisions, once we start assigning teams we may find that a few of the sites are overwhelmingly one division based on the team preferences and we may make that site a single division tournament.  In that case the few teams in the other division that would have been assigned to that site will be moved to one of their other choices because there would not have been enough of their division at that event.  This normally happens at 1-2 events each year.

As the emails that Krystian sent out said, the tournament selection portion of the VA-DC FLL registration system will open on October 1 and assignments are made on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Good Afternoon FIRST LEGO League Teams! 

As some of you may already know, the tournament schedule has been released!  You will be able to find the tournament schedule here.  Please keep in mind that while you are able to view the tournament schedule you will NOT be able to register for a tournament until October 1st.

A few things to consider when reviewing the tournament schedule:
  1. You must complete your registration with FIRST before registering with VA/DC FIRST LEGO League.
  2. Once you have registered with FIRST make sure you have completed the VA/DC FIRST LEGO League registration process and provide all up to date information.  If you have not completed this step you will need either create, or log into your team manager account and provide your teams updated information.  
    • If you need to update any information please log in here.
    • If you are a new team and have not already done so, please create an account here.
  3. Once you have created your team management account with VA/DC FIRST LEGO League you will need to decide method of payment for the VA/DC FIRST LEGO League registration fee.  If you choose to pay with credit card, you can pay here.
