Hi everyone,

I know a lot of new teams may be wondering what to bring to the tournaments and it's a great question. There are a few things that are critical (like your robot and the kids!) and many optional things (like lunch since you can usually also buy lunch at most tournaments).

Each tournament site will be a little different in terms of what to bring or not to bring so each coach will get a welcome email from their tournament director within about 2 weeks of the assignments being posted. This should have details about their site and I know the emails that I send out have a detailed list of what to bring and what not to bring.

Hopefully this will help you know what to bring and it will also serve as an introduction to your tournament director so that if you have any or questions specific to that event, you will know who to talk to. The tournament selection portion of the VA-DC FLL registration is open from October 1-10 and on October 10 the VA-DC FLL registration system will close (and you will not be able to change anything so please make sure you have updated kids info, tournament preferences, team names, etc. by October 10). The assignments will be posted by October 15 or before if I can get them done earlier.

Hello everyone,

I am brand new person to all of this and I just wanted to make sure that my kids will have everything they need for the tournament. From what I understand we need to bring our robot that is programed, our project, and also a core values poster. Is that everything or am I missing anything?
