All,
Since there have been quite a few questions from team about this, I just wanted to let you all know that you will receive detailed information for your specific tournament from your tournament director.  The directors have not gotten the team lists yet (I hope to send them out tomorrow) and it may be a week or so before you get the welcome email.  Please be patient with them as it does take some time to work out details once they get the number of teams and breakdown of divisions (especially with respect to schedules).

The initial email will have general details about the event (date, location, general schedule, whether food will be available for purchase, what to bring, etc.).  While most tournaments do send out a detailed schedule prior to their event (with specific times for each team), these usually do not come out until the week of the tournament and are always subject to change right up until the tournament.

ALL team members (student team members and the coaches) are required to have a completed consent form and these will be required at check-in at your tournament.  There are two ways to do this and some teams may use a mix of the two and that's OK:
1. STIMS - have the student's parents fill out the consent on line.  All you need to do then is bring a copy of the team list from TIMS that indicates who has completed the form online.
2. Hard copy paper form - anyone who does not do their consent form on line must turn in a paper copy at the tournament.

Again, a lot more information will come from your tournament director once they get the teams lists in the next day or so.

Thanks and we look forward to seeing you all at tournaments in November!

Karen

Hi everyone!

I am a new coach preparing my team for the Tournament Event in Norfolk. I am trying to determine the best way to handle the logistics side of attending the competition, and I think some of the other new coaches may be dealing with this matter as well. What I would like to know is this:

1. When should my team arrive at the event?

2. One of my team member's parents registered her electronically using the STIMS system at www.firstinspires.org while all the other parents turned in paper registration sets (Registration, Consent & Release Form, etc.). Will the officials honor the STIMS electronic registration, or will I need to have this team member turn in paper form like everybody else?

3. When is the event scheduled to end?

Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
