The topic of what does "match" mean for M04, Feeding, has come up in some private emails, too. Since the 8 pieces of Food are essentially indistinguishable from each other except for color, we apply Rule GP2, Interpretation, "If a word isn’t given a game definition, use its common conversational meaning." The common conversational meaning of match for the Food pieces is that they are the same color. You can test this by taking a handful of the Food piece models up to people on the street and asking them to tell you which ones match. Bottom line: For M04, Feeding, pieces of Food are considered to match only if they are the same color. So, what happens if a team's Robot operates the Refrigerator to dispense all 8 pieces of Food, and the Robot collects all the food and Transports it to a Target Area? 1) The team is congratulated for having excellent robot design, programming, and precision navigation and delivery skills 2) Zero points for M04.
