WSSC Wastewater Treatment Plant Tour for FIRST Lego League Students
FIRST Lego League teams are invited to join WSSC’s wastewater plant operators to dive into the process wastewater takes after it goes down the drain and before it is returned to local waterways.
Upcoming Tours for teams in Montgomery and Prince George’s counties for October and November are below. If your team is not from one of these counties you are encouraged to contact your local water utility or department of public works.
To prepare your team for the tour please note that these tours operate entirely outside and that all participants must be in close-toed, rubber-soled shoes.
Registration Information:
- When registering your team, please include the names of each participant and note whether they are a student or chaperone
- Each tour can accommodate 25 people total. If the date you would like is full, please email[log in to unmask] to be placed on the waitlist
- Registration will close one week before the event
- Please only sign your team up for one date/time. While the locations are different the processes at the wastewater treatment plants are the same.
