My page references are a bit off in my email below. For the Field Setup Guide, check pages 5 and 6 (not 8 and 9). Also, the Mission reference is on page 21.
My computer started counting pages with #1 of 12 identified as #4:

The target area is the black rectangle on the mat near the North Wall and the surface between that rectangle and the North Wall. Also, there is no asterisk associated with this mission, so HOW you do it does not matter as long as the underlined condition is visible at the END of the match and as long as your method is allowed by all of the Rules.

Thanks everyone!  We may consider this, even though it could take more time.  It just seems that if it is brought back to base, the robot/attachments could manipulate it from a better position and move it right to target - without all the angle moves.

The rules state that it must have contact with the mat, and inside the target area.  It is still hard to determine if the target area is the ‘black’ area OR if it is the “black area” and putting the addition directly into the flow where the opening is.  Any final thoughts on that?

I agree that there is nothing that states you can bring back pump addition, however, I am not sure how you can get the FLOW mission back as this is secured, I would recommend checking you mission building instructions for FLOW.

I am with David. I see nothing in the rules that indicates that the pump addition can’t be brought back to base.
