If it is at the end of the match (either the timer has ended or your team does not wish to attempt anymore missions), a team Technician can stop the robot AND LEAVE IT THERE. If the team Technician cannot reach the robot (due to team member size or robot location), they can request that the referee stop the robot. As a referee, I prefer to not handle your robots when I can avoid it. I have broken robots in the past! 😢

You *should not* get an Interruption Penalty in this situation. I recommend you ask the referee or head referee at your event for confirmation.

Hello

If a robot stops on the challenge mat and is running up against a model or the border wall with time remaining and the team wants to leave it are they permitted to stop the program from running? Or does the referee do that?
