As long as the markers are made out of LEGO, they may be used in Base
pretty much any way your team wants to.

R01 - ALL EQUIPMENT - All Equipment must be made of LEGO-made building
parts in original factory condition.
Note that in order to Launch the Robot, the markers have to be motionless
and not be touched by the team.

R13 - LAUNCHING - A proper Launch (or re- Launch) goes like this:

o The Ref can see that nothing on the Field is moving or being handled.

The reference to a marker being used for identification says that your team
may put an identifying mark on the Robot that is hidden, even though that
makes the LEGO not be in original condition.
