Ahh the perils of "reply-all" :)

I've received a few inquiries about the table that we built.

This table is pretty much what we did: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qbbpkCmQAw

It's based on the Landroid table, but much easier to build.  We varied from the table in the video in the following areas:

1) We didn't bother using dowels and furniture bolts on the corners
2) The hollow core door seemed a little flimsy on the edge that we cut, so we filled the cut area in with wood.  You can either salvage that wood from unused parts of the doors or just cut some fillers.  Totally optional.

I would recommend using  a doweling jig when you drill the holes for the dowels.

I had one parent on my team that is very handy with tools.  When I showed him the video, he pretty much knew what to do :)

Hope this helps,

I would highly suggest the "Landroids" table design.  There are variants out there on the internet but that's definitely the best design I've seen.  Our team built one 4 years ago and it has been awesome.  We can take it down and store it (my wife likes that) and take it to different meeting locations.  If you decide to build one, feel free to e-mail me and I can give you more details about our design.  It's not as complicated as the Landroid one... no fancy dovetail joints for us!

Hi,

Similar to Pooja, we are also looking for a table.  We were thinking about making one - but if there is a table that someone wants to sell and they longer want please let us know.  I'll need to be able to fit the table into my car, so was looking for a table that can be quick to disassemble / reassemble.

Thanks!!
