We are excited to announce that Amazon wants to bring FIRST LEGO League & FIRST Tech Challenge to under-resourced schools in and near the DC Metro area!

Amazon Future Engineer (AFE) Robotics Grants will support the growth of FIRST LEGO League and FIRST TECH Challenge teams in 15 Title 1 schools.  The grant will fully support the costs of starting a team. This includes a teacher stipend, FIRST Program registration, Qualifying tournament fees, program participation fees, and materials for the first year.

Grants will be awarded on a first come, first served basis. The school administration MUST be contacted and have expressed an interest in starting a team(s) by March 15th, 2019.  Schools and Teams DO NOT have to complete the screening and registration by this date. We will be reaching out to teams later in the spring to confirm the commitment of participation for the upcoming season.

If your team is interested in helping to develop rookie teams, or you know educators in the schools identified on the Amazon Schools list, please reach out to your contact at the school to see if they may be interested.

Once you identify the school and secured contact information, please complete the form: https://goo.gl/forms/LJif6BMweoMwTNbd2

(There can be more than 1 team at each school).
