Hi Leyla

The engineering notebook is optional, does not need to be brought to the tournament,  and is not a part of judging.  There are some very help resources in the back that could help prepare your team for the judging rooms, so you may want to check those out.

Feel free to email me off the Listserv if you have any other questions regarding the tournament.

Subject: [VADCFLL-L] Engineering notebook

Good morning,

I’m a rookie coach and I like to ask a question about engineering notebook for kids and the folder for the team. Are these required to bring to the competition? Should the kids have filled all 12 sessions? We didn’t exactly follow the recommended meeting schedule and plans. So, I am not sure how to fill them up. As for the team folder, what does it supposed to contain? How detailed should it be? Will be judged for it?

Thanks,

Leyla Nazhandali
