Karen, I can't thank you enough for what you do for FLL in Virginia. I know the hours that you put in are stressful, but I also know that you feel like there's no way you're NOT doing it, because it is worth it.

We are very fortunate to have you, and I very much look forward to seeing you at the tournaments this year!

As we approach the first weekend of FLL tournaments (good luck and we look forward to seeing the teams at the 7 tournaments this weekend), I wanted to remind folks that volunteering at a VA-DC FLL regional or state tournament is a great way to learn about FLL and help out the FLL community.  VA-DC FLL is a basically all volunteer run organization and it takes a not-so-small army of folks to put on the events.

Folks interested in volunteering can indicate their interest at https://va-dcfll.org/volunteer/.  Not all events still need help but I know there are a couple in particular still looking for volunteers (mostly judges).  These include:
- DC/McKinley High School on November 16
- DC/Friendship Collegiate on November 23
- VA-DC FLL Championship Tournament in Harrisonburg, VA on December 7 and 8

There may be additional tournaments that could use assistance so if you're interested in helping, let us know through the online sign up.

Thanks and we look forward to seeing the almost 500 teams competing in regional tournaments over the next three weekends.
