For small parts and connectors that the team members wanted to be able to find easily, we used similar, portable compartment organizers that others have shared. For bigger bulk pieces that the team collected over the years from field kits, we used a 7-drawer rolling storage cart that had a few deeper drawers on the bottom and shallow drawers at the top. It’s a tricky organizing challenge!

Karen,

I have used some the organizers already mentioned, but we found that the Stanley 25 removable compartments worked best.  We have two of the Plano’s which are nice, but not  large enough to store all the parts. So, we bought a few of the Stanley’s:

Hope this helps.

As luck would have it, I have much of the Nova Labs Robotucs collection starts my house for outreach we are doing with the Herndon Elementary School Young Scholars program. Ryan Meyers has our FLL teams organize our LEGO into these bins in the fall, I couldn’t be more grateful! Not only are they easily organized, they now travel well, too. He bought them at Home Depot.

We have all of our legos in zip lock bags.  Our boxes are long gone.  What do you use to organize your pieces so that your team can find them easily?
