There are still spaces available at the off-season FLL scrimmage in Newport News on May 30th. If you are interested, please let me know. Details are below. If you have already signed up, no need to email me again, I have your info already.
Additionally, the make up date for the Hampton Roads Naval Museum's Brick By Brick is April 18 and we're looking for teams that are interested in demoing their robot at the event. It will be in Virginia Beach and run from 10-4 (shifts can be 1-2 hours). Even if you don't volunteer, feel free to come out to the free and open to the public event.
Feel free to let me know if you would like more information or to sign up for either event.
Thanks,
Karen

FLL Teams,
If you've recovered from the FLL season and are looking for some off-season FLL scrimmage fun, you're in luck! For more information or to register, please contact me at[log in to unmask].
NNPS/CNU FLL Scrimmage:
When: Saturday May 30th, approx. 9 am - 2:15 pm
Where: Christopher Newport University Campus in Newport News (this event is being held as part of a much larger NNPS/CNU Community STEM Day)
Costs: FREE, but registration for the competition is required! The larger STEM Fair is free and open to the public. The deadline for registration is April 10th. Let me know if you would like to register (all registration can be done over email).
Who: This event is open to all FLL teams. Note that a national team number/registration is not required for this event so if you know of a group interested in trying out FLL before competing for real in the fall, please encourage them to get in contact with me. Instead of age division we will be using rookie and veteran divisions.
What: The scrimmage will consist of UnEarthed robot game and informal robot design judging. There will NOT be core values or innovation project judging.
If your team(s) are interested in competition, you would like additional information, or you'd like to volunteer for the event, please let me know.
