Hi, Alternatively, what would be the chances of getting someone like Democracy NOW! to do a piece on it? Here is the website where you can submit a story idea: http://www.democracynow.org/get_involved/ contact?to=1. If we could get a bunch of people to submit a story idea on their website from the FEAST list, that might be enough to get them to do a story. Maybe have Pfc. Johnson's father to give an interview? Or have someone who works on Military Ethics/Feminist Ethics and is familiar with the case give an interview? Perusing through the list of the Armed Services Committee: I'll write John Cornyn, since I'm now his constituent. (He gave a stirring, if oddly incongruent with his voting record, speech at my citizenship ceremony, actually.) I would think that Senator Claire McCaskill would be the best person on whom to put pressure, since she is both on the Armed Services Committee and would have been LaVena Johnson's senator. McCain & Clinton should both be used to getting letters from people who are not strictly their constituents.
