P.S.

You might also consider Feminism and Religion, and 19th Ce Am. Feminism (not sure how you would title it). I think the last category would be helpful in providing some contemporary analysis regarding women, suffrage, race. I would like to provide an article which allows us to see Feminism and Race in both its historic and contemporary context within the U.S. For me, that is also combined with religion, but it may be helpful to also have a cateogry specifically dedicated to Feminism and Religion.

Kind regards,

Nash

Hi Chris, I would love to write on care ethics if it hasn't been taken.  I agree that it is an exciting opportunity to participate in the on-line revolution.  If I think of any other topics I will forward them.  Let me know if I can be of service and all the best to you, Maureen

Subject: Invitation to write

Dear Colleagues,

Having just accepted an invitation to be the new area editor for feminist philosophy for the Internet Encyclopaedia of Philosophy, I'm looking for some much needed help. If you have ever used the Encyclopaedia, you will likely have noticed how little content there is in feminist anything.... I plan to remedy that!

Here's where you come in... I am looking for volunteers to write articles for the Encyclopaedia on a variety of feminist topics. I've constructed a wish list linked here  http://www.csus.edu/indiv/b/bellonc/iep.html

But really this isn't meant to be an exhaustive list, and I KNOW it is incomplete. Please email me if you'd like to write an article not on this list or if you have some ideas for what should be included (even if you don't want to write it).

I am also seeking volunteers to serve as reviewers for any area of feminist philosophy.

Junior colleagues should feel especially encouraged to consider writing.

Since the Internet Encyclopaedia of Philosophy is widely used by undergraduate and graduate students, this is a wonderful opportunity to contribute to shaping the content of philosophy for coming generations of philosophers! Link here to visit the Encyclopaedia
http://www.iep.utm.edu/

All articles are anonymously peer reviewed. Since it is an electronic publication, there are no publication cycles. Once an article is completed and accepted, it will be posted.

Please forward this notice to anyone you believe would be interested/willing to either write or review for the Encyclopaedia and encourage them to contact me ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>).

Cheers,
chris
