ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN GENDER AND WOMEN’S STUDIES
FALL 2009
 
Scripps College, a women’s liberal arts college with a strong
interdisciplinary tradition, invites applications for a tenure-track,
assistant professor of Gender and Women's Studies. Successful candidates
should be prepared to teach a range of lower and upper division courses,
including Introduction to Gender and Women's Studies, Introduction to
Queer Studies, Feminist Theory, upper and lower division courses in area
of specialization, and to participate in the Interdisciplinary
Humanities Core Curriculum. We seek candidates with strong theoretical
grounding in feminist theory and evidence of transnational interests.
Ph. D. and teaching experience required. Application deadline:
