Folks:

I've just discovered a section of the Washington Post website devoted to
women's issues globally. The URL is
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/world/womansworld/

Right now, they're featuring the persistent wage gap in Germany. But it's
not all centered on Europe or the developed world. Here are some recent
stories in the series:

In addition to these, the Washington Post just ran an excellent set of
material (A/V and print/web) on pregnancy in Sierra Leone, where there is a
1 in 8 lifetime mortality risk for women who will become pregnant at least
once. The links for all these are there.

Hope this is useful.
