I like to request safeguard names, privacy and pictures displayed names on GiRo's website (Team #4115). This sharing is for educational and knowledge enhancement. I am very proud of the level 5th and 6th grades can do and inspire and one of the Sharing is using website.
Contents in the links are their own writing and project selection is about the Daniels Run Elementary School (Fairfax City) Bayscape project where few members have been studing through science project. Bayscape refers to landscaping techniques to promote the health of the Chesapeake Bay and its watershed. Watershed is an area of land where all the water from rain or snow melt drains to one point. Daniels Run is located in the Accotink Creek watershed, a sub-watershed of larger Chesapeake Bay Watershed. Students at Daniels Run learn environmental conservation integrated through their Standard of learning science projects with able support from the (Lands and Waters, Inc. Chesapeake Bay program, National Fish & Wildlife, Audubon Society, DCR, Earth Sangha and many other). Details of Daniels Run project and how it is integrated in the classroom education can be found at www.forlandsandwater.org
