New Resources on Women in Higher Education

For over a quarter century, AAC&U's Program on the Status and Education of Women (PSEW) has provided support to women faculty, administrators, and students in higher education through resources, programs, and publications. Marking National Women’s History Month, during which we celebrate women in higher education who have helped shape our nation, we share with you some of AAC&U’s current resources on women.

The only current comprehensive overview of data on women’s status in higher education, A Measure of Equity: Women's Progress in Higher Education documents areas of progress and identifies needed action to move even farther down the path toward equity for women in higher education.

DiversityWeb is designed to provide a comprehensive compendium of campus practices and resources for campus practitioners seeking to place diversity at the center of the academy's educational and societal mission. Resources include full issues of AAC&U’s newsletter Diversity & Democracy.

The tri-quarterly online newsletter On Campus with Women provides readers with the most up-to-date information on women in higher education. It focuses on women's leadership, the campus climate, curriculum and pedagogy, and new research and data on women. Recent issues have explored the effects of contingent faculty work on women’s careers, inclusive pedagogies in science and technology, and pathways toward women’s engaged civic leadership.

Campus Women Lead is an alliance promoting a multicultural women-led agenda for the sustained transformation of higher education for the twenty-first century. An affiliate of the Association of American Colleges and Universities, CWL advances women’s inclusive leadership for excellence through workshops, publications, and a community listserv.
