2010 Women in Philosophy Workshop: 
Bridging Traditions


This Feminist Philosophy Workshop will be taking place on March 5th and 6th, 2010 at Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland. The idea behind the workshop is to create an opportunity to explore the varieties of scholarship by women within the larger tradition of philosophy. Through creating a program representative of the numerous philosophical traditions in which women in philosophy engage, the multiple ways in which women support one another across these traditional demarcations will be highlighted. 

Topics of discussion range from ethics, to existentialism, disability, ecofeminism, forgiveness, postcolonialism, queer theory, genealogy, dialectics,  and embodiment. There will also be a panel of women in philosophy discussing issues pertaining to mentorship and support for women within philosophy (the Feminist Working Group Initiative).
