This is just a friendly reminder that registration for the Jr.FLL Expo at the Science Museum of Virginia on May 1st is now open.  Although registration will remain open until April 15th, we will be better able to plan for the day (our volunteer needs, etc.) if teams register earlier rather than later.  Details regarding the event and registration are below.

I hope to see many of your teams in action on May 1st!

This message is to let you know that registration officially opens today for the Jr.FLL Expo to be held at the Science Museum of Virginia in Richmond on 5/1.  To register your team, simply complete the two steps below.

1 - Send an email to [log in to unmask] with:
* your team's number (given to you by FIRST when you registered your team)
* your team's name
* the coach's name
* the coach's email address
* the coach's phone number
* your team's home city
* the number of team members

2 - Send in the registration fee ($25 per team) with notation that it is for the SMV Jr.FLL Expo to:

As a reminder, the Expo is scheduled to start at 10am and will end between 12:30pm and 2pm (the end time will be determined once we know how many teams will be in attendance).  More details regarding the Expo will be communicated via this list and the VA/DC FLL website as they become available.

Good afternoon VA/DC Jr.FLL,

 

I am writing to let you know about an exciting event that is coming up later this spring.  On May 1st, a Jr.FLL Expo will be held at the Science Museum of Virginia in Richmond.  The Expo will start at 10am and, depending upon the number of teams that register, will end sometime between 12:30 and 2 (a definite ending time will be communicated as we get closer to the event).  Registration will open on March 15th, it will run through April 15th, and the registration fee will be $25 per team.

 

If you have been thinking about starting a team, now is a great time to do it.  Registration with FIRSTremains open for Jr.FLL at https://my.usfirst.org/jr.fll/tims/site.lasso where you can register a team and purchase a Jr.FLL Team Access Pass.  For more details about what is involved with starting and coaching a team can be found at http://www.vadcfll.org/junior_league.html.

 

Has your team already participated in an Expo?  You can still register for others and we would welcome your participation at the Science Museum.  Each Expo will provide the teams with an opportunity to show off their excellent work and interact with other teams from Virginia and DC.

 

This event will be a lot of fun for the teams, family members, and spectators and we encourage you to stay after the Expo is done and explore the Science Museum.  If you haven’t visited the museum before or it has been a while since you’ve been here, then this is the perfect opportunity to do so.  More details regarding the Expo will be sent to this list as they become available.
