You might try addall.com, which searches a large variety of used bookstores.
 Although you've probably already done that... Another option, especially if
you are TAing, write to the publisher and ask them if they'd send you an
evaluation copy since you are considering using the book in a class... That
doesn't always work, of course, but might be worth a try. 

And, finally, try putting an add on Craigslist or some place like it - you
never know, someone might have the book on their shelves and would love to
pass it on...
