Lego Education has actually replaced two of our dead screen bricks.  There was a back log this summer from Denmark, so it did require a follow up phone call, but the folks couldn't have been nicer!

I worked with Danny in Pittsboro, KS.  Contact info is on Lego Education website.

Subject: Re: [VADCFLL-L] dead nxt screen

Lego replaced our NXT brick that had the screen failure (rather than
actually repairing it:)
We'd already had a 'clicking' brick and knew it wasn't that -actually set up
the screen to display to computer so figured it out that way.

It was this summer and was indeed several (4 maybe) weeks even then.

Good luck.
