I don't know what the official ruling is on that - but I would recommend giving the project a shot! Last year was our first year and we very much underestimated the importance of the project. This year we're really diving in and having a great time with it all - research, talking with professionals in the field, coming up with a good presentation, etc. We're in Richmond if you're looking for a team to chat with. This is only our second year, so there's not a whole lot of experience here, but we're willing to share what we have :) But the one mistake we (well, I as the coach) made in our rookie year was not asking for more guidance/help from veteran teams.
A quick question, and sorry if it is obvious to everyone. Can our rookie team enter a tournament and not present a project? the team is very new and is much more focused on the robot game without much time for the project in the rookie year. We know we would not be eligible to win the tournament. Thanks,Adam
