Hi FLL coaches and Mentors!  I am Julie Eberheim –volunteer Head Referee and Judge at local Richmond regional competitions and former FLL coach myself.

I know that starting a team can be nerve wracking to say the least as I was once in your shoes.  With my involvement as Head referee for some of the Richmond regional competitions, I found so many coaches that needed some assistance with all the rules, regulations and technical workings of the NXT brick and NXT-G.

I know I was helped along by coaches meetings and want to extend a hand to those new and current coaches who need some guidance.

So I want to welcome any and all coaches and mentors who feel they would benefit from someone who has been there to the Henrico County NorthPark  branch Library on August 11th from 12-3 to go over the FLL coaches experience.   Go to www.henricolibrary.org/ for address and directions to the library.

This will be a very open forum for you so bring all the questions you have.  I will go over some of the basics of the competition,  the NXT brick, basic NXT-G programming and running a team.  If you have a brick and laptop with NXT-G at your disposal please feel free to bring it as I will be covering information on both the brick and program.

You  must RSVP for this meeting so that I can have a headcount for the library beforehand.

Please email your name, contact number and any questions or subjects you would like me to cover as I would like to tailor this meeting to you.

Please send your confirmation emails to:

And thank you for your commitment – I know you will find it is a very rewarding experience.

Have a great season!

Julie Eberheim
