Lindeman's book is excellent, and short enough to use in a class as one among several texts. Another oldie but a goodie is the Introduction to Beauvoir's Second Sex-a real classic in many ways. ************************* Ruth Groenhout Chair, Philosophy Department Calvin College 616-526-6412 From: "Prof. Azzurra Crispino" <[log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>> Reply-To: "Prof. Azzurra Crispino" <[log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>> Date: Tuesday, August 13, 2013 3:16 PM To: "[log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>" <[log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>> Subject: Re: introductory essay on feminist theory/philosophy recommendations I have taught from this text in my Ethics class at Austin Community College, and students have found it very accessible. Of course, it's focused on value theory, but it's solid. http://www.amazon.com/Invitation-Feminist-Ethics-Hilde-Lindemann/dp/007285023X Hope that helps! I'd love to see other suggestions.
