Thank you again, Sally and Ruth.  This is already an incredible resource.

I am currently in "archive thinking mode," which motivated my earlier
comments.  That might be a mistake.

So, I still have a question -- Is it, can you say, just for women currently
(continuing) to teach/formally publish in philosophy; or do you mean for it
to be broader than that, including, say, retired independent scholars with
no real institutional affiliation to put on the sign up form?

The "*Women of Philosophy*" moniker suggests a really broad sweep.  Would
it be better to change the name to something much more narrow, indicating
say, US women currently engaged in teaching and research in philosophy.
 This way, folks on the list can opt out once they are no longer doing that
stuff, and there would be no question about who should be on this list.
 So, again, my question has to do with the purpose(s) of the list.
