Hi all,

 

Our department recently decided to form a standing committee on academic climate and diversity. We are currently in the process of determining what the mandate and activities of that committee should be. I would love to hear from people how have been members of a similar committee in their home departments. What was your official mandate? What kinds of proactive things have you done?  What other issues have you had to deal with?
