All this packed in a few days. While the trip is exhausting and the level of mutual mistrust among them is appalling, there is hope that American Muslims may provide a vision that is wholesome and balanced. Our experience and the success in raising a generation of American Muslim young leaders is a source of pride and re-assurance. I have two of such youthful leaders with me, Rashad Hussain ( a hafiz of the Quran) , envoy of Obama to OIC and his deputy envoy Arsalan Sulaiman. Both a living proof of our American Muslim achievements, both having roots in South Asia and both entrusted by the American government to represent the nation in a sensitive area. Our delegation of 3 persons, represented 2 generations of American Muslim community and had a lot to discuss. At a time when anti American hatred is still above 82 percent, the passionate welcome of the delegation was overwhelming and a source of pride for our hosts. Please pray for our safety and success.
