The inaugural Prize, to be awarded at FAB's biennial meeting in 2016, will include publication in IJFAB 10.1, the tenth anniversary issue (spring 2017), an award of $500, a one-year subscription to the journal, and membership in the International Network on Feminist Approaches to Bioethics (FAB), the journal's sponsor. To be considered, essays must be nominated by a faculty member who is a current member of FAB. The winning nominator's membership will be extended by a year. Submission deadline for the inaugural Prize is July 1, 2015. According to Mary C. Rawlinson, professor of philosophy at Stony Brook University and founding editor of IJFAB, "The IJFAB Essay Prize is a reflection of FAB's commitment to mentoring young scholars and promoting their research.
