Yes, we must--and of course we will. My personal, selfish desire is that we do something on Saturday or Sunday, since I'm not arriving until Friday night. But I know that Claudia's spirit will pervade all our time together--our sadness and loss but also what Claudia taught us about dying, as she had been teaching so much about living--and how those are connected: it was because she lived as she did that she died as she did.  I've always found Socrates' saying that a philosophical life was a preparation for death creepy, but it takes on a very different meaning thinking about Claudia--I'm sure that unlike Socrates she didn't welcome death, but her living did prepare her for dying well, surrounded by so much love and with such lucidity.

I know of at least two APA sessions (Eastern and Central) that had already been planned to honor Claudia and her work.
