Arun,I cannot give you an official answer, but as a long-time volunteer and a FLL referee, this is against the rules, but is frequently overlooked by most referees. If you get a referee who sticks by the rules, you will not have a defensible argument. With that said, if you are really stuck, it should not be a big issue with using this motor.Technically = Not allowedPractically = frequently overlookedWe try to make the tournaments fun and enjoyable for the children. As long as there is no major advantage to you breaking the rules, we will try to be accommodating (speaking for myself primarily).Recommendation: try to get the markings off, or cover them with white tape (you can get white electrical tape). If that does not work, use the motors and hope you get a kind referee.Best of Luck,BillOn Fri, Oct 30, 2015 at 9:54 AM, Arun Manroa <[log in to unmask]> wrote:We borrowed a second EV3 medium motor from someone, and to avoid a mix up with the teams medium motor we have marked the medium motor with a Sharpie.
