Assistant Professor in Global Ethics and Feminist Philosophy
 
The Department of Philosophy and the Residential College in the Arts and Humanities at Michigan State University invite applications for a tenure system, academic year position at the rank of assistant professor, beginning August 16, 2016.  AOS: Global Ethics and Feminist Philosophy.  AOC:  Open.  Appointment will be in the Department of Philosophy (75%) and in the Residential College in the Arts and Humanities (25%).  PhD in Philosophy or closely related field prior to appointment.  Four courses per year at undergraduate and graduate level, thesis supervision,  and non-teaching duties that may include:  department and university service, opportunities for community engagement, and other forms of engaged learning. The successful candidate will have a robust research program showing potential to secure external funding.  We are particularly interested in candidates committed to teaching a diverse student body.  A full description of this position appears on the websites of the Department of Philosophy (http://www.philosophy.msu.edu/) and the Residential College in the Arts and Humanities (http://rcah.msu.edu).
